A Minimoy makes it possible
Cancellation, postponement or wait and see? Many couples are unsure whether they should stick to their planned celebration. Isabel Merfort and her team have developed a solution so that saying yes can be a wonderful experience, even at short notice and on a small scale. In our Q&A she answered the most important questions about the Minimony Wedding Package.
What is a mini mony?
A minimony = mini‐ceremony is a very intimate and emotional civil wedding celebration with the people closest to you. Closely linked to the theme of minimalism, the focus is on the essentials, ie on the bridal couple and the celebration of their love with their closest relatives and friends.
How did you come up with the idea?
It is currently still the case that weddings with a party character are not possible in Berlin and Brandenburg. Only a meeting of the permitted households and thus also a small wedding is possible – just as our minimony describes.
Who do you recommend a Minimony to?
We are often asked who our Minimony Package is perfect for. Our checklist shows for which bridal couples the package is suitable.
1. The appointment for the registry office has already been reserved.
2. This date is from Monday to Thursday in the months of June to September 2021
3. Nothing further is planned for the wedding celebration.
4. The newlyweds want more than just bureaucracy.
5. A celebration with 8-10 loved ones sounds perfect!
What do you think is special about a Minimony?
I think the best thing is that we appreciate more what really matters – LOVE! It doesn’t have to be big and loud, but in a small group with more feeling. But of course I’m looking forward to big weddings again soon and to really rocking again. But I can’t tell you what’s nicer – both have their great moments. Big or small.
